DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Interstate 380 was completed and opened to traffic on September 13, 1985. Its description in Buchanan County should be included in the Primary Road System to reflect this opening.

Interstate 380 begins at the Buchanan‑Benton County Line approximately 14 miles southwest of Independence and travels northwesterly to the Buchanan‑Black Hawk County Line approximately 8 ½ miles south of Jesup.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended to approve adding the description of Interstate 380 in Buchanan County to the Primary Road System.

New Description ‑ Interstate 380 in Buchanan County described as follows:

Beginning on the Buchanan‑Benton County Line on the south line of Section 36‑T87N‑R10W, Buchanan County (north line of Section 1‑T86N‑R10W, Benton County); thence northwesterly through Sections 36, 35, 26, 27, 22, 21, 20, 17 and 18‑T87N‑R10W to the Buchanan‑Black Hawk County Line on the west line of Section 18‑T87N‑R10W, Buchanan County (east line of Section 13‑T87N‑R11W, Black Hawk County).
